Probate is the legal Court process dealing with the transfer of title to assets to designated beneficiaries (if there is a Will) or to the decedent's heirs at law (if there is no Will). Probate is a process designed to protect others (i.e., creditors) not you or your family. The Probate process can be very complex, time consuming and costly. If your loved one did not have a Living Trust or their Trust was not funded with all of their property, you may need to "probate" their estate. We are here to help you make that determination and file in Court if necessary.
